Weekend weather

I hate to admit it, but I'm a big chicken when it comes to weather! My satellite went out so I couldn't see what the weather map was showing and the last I heard it was right over the fairgrounds! I LIVE ABOUT A MILE FROM THE FAIRGROUNDS!
Anyway, I was a little freakish but now it looks like just rain.
Today I was a total slug. Didn't even leave the house except to walk my dog a little. She's such a good dog! A black and white Siberian Husky named Roxie. Spoiled rotten but very smart! Goes to a daycare 2 days a week.
Tomorrow is the start of another week. Hurry up spring break!!!

Finally catching up!

Well this is the first weekend I have been able to stay home in about a month and it has been REALLY nice! I went to see my parents yesterday, got a pedicure, and went shopping with my sister in law. It was really nice! I can't believe that it is already time to start gearing up to start another week though. Why is it that weekends and lunch hours go by the fastest??

What a weekend!

Yesterday was my birthday so I took Friday off from work and went back to my old home town to see old friends. it was so much fun! We watched some small town basketball and had dinner together but mostly just sat around and talked about the old times. I really miss my old home town but the job market down there is virtually non existent. You either have to be in the military or be a teacher.

I'm glad to be back in the city, but I miss my old friends. A lot of them have numerous health problems and problems with their kids (two teen pregnancies in the same family). It's really sad.

what a weekend!!

I have been in Dallas for a training seminar since last Thurs. I am so glad to be home! The seminar was good and I even got an award for "exceeding expectations". The hotel was great (Interncontinental - Dallas) and we had a pretty good time. Apparently, however, we got a little wild in the club downstairs on Friday night. I have been told (although I don't remember this at all) that we were dancing on the bar and kicked the dj out of the booth and began to play only what we wanted to hear. I also heard that Jana and i were walkind down the hallway back to our room like pinballs - bouncing from one side of the walls to the other and thinking it was really funny.

Even though I say "we" I refuse to admit that i was part of the fray...

Wonder what wil happen this week!

just whizzing by

I swear - the time is going so fast I don't know what to do! The first month of the New Year is already almost gone! I am super busy at work, I'm going to be gone to Dallas for 3 days next week; the next weekend is my birthday; my son is turning 18 in March and my niece is graduating from high school this year, and my nephew will be driving soon!

I am thankful that I have such a full life so I'll quit whining now!
